Leaving Certificate Applied

Plunket College was one of a number of pilot schools to introduce this programme in 1995/96.  Students accumulate credits by attending school and completing modules of work satisfactorily in the different subject areas.  They are also required to complete a certain number of student tasks for which they receive marks.  So, they are building up credits on a continuous basis as they make their way through the two year programme.  The final examination only attracts one third, approximately, of the total marks available.
